Personality:
Most of the time that she's seen working, she's studying Jigsaw tapes and photos of the crimes scenes, or an active participant at a crime scene. She doesn't lose her composure though, even when being in an obviously dangerous situation. Even when in bad situations, she stays calm and watches, learning what she needs to and adapting to the situations. Some may think she's cold and heartless, but it's how she keeps her composure in a male dominant profession.

In SAW II when Matthews was losing his composure (for good reason), she worked at calming him down and told him to threaten Jigsaws work. It didn't have the desired effect, but she couldn't have known that. The only time she's seen loosing her composure is when a coworker is involved, usually Matthews. In SAW II, he goes to interrogate him himself, leaving Kerry behind. As soon as she sees what he's doing, she tries to get to him and has to be held back by other officers. She cares deeply for the people close to her and will do whatever it takes to protect them...Eric Matthews and Mark Hoffman especially.

The other time is in SAW III when she's called to identify a body. Fearing it's Matthews, she's clearly in bad shape and hasn't been taking care of herself. She partially blames herself for his death, feeling that if she'd just stayed with him he'd still be okay.

There's also canon evidence to suggest that she'll do what it takes to climb to the positions she wants. It was stated in the second video game that she'd slept with several higher ranking officers to gain promotions until she reached her goal as a detective. There were also rumors of her sleeping with Hoffman occasionally to get the cases she wanted and to keep things going in her direction.

Her family is never mentioned, even in passing. It's suspected that her family is either dead or disowned her. My own suspicions, pulled from her personality and how she evades certain questioning is that she grew up in the foster system. It also explains her determination to be a detective, so she can possibly help others that were in her situation.

Above all, Allison does what she needs to without complaint.

Does your character have any close ties to existing canon characters? No.

Why do you think your character would work in this setting?

Allison is needing to get away from her life and possibly be able to relax enough to be able to figure out where to find Eric. Her team keeps suggesting she take some time off to look at it from a new perspective, so that's what she's doing.

How do you plan to expand their CR?

Allison will definitely be willing to branch out. She takes her job seriously and to be able to be a good officer, she needs to know the kind of people that live in town.

What will your character do for work?

Deputy, possibly sheriff down the line.
